While in Tahoe, my father and I took a truly enjoyable bike ride along a wooded path near the lake side. We rode the peaceful path to its end point and then decided to stop off at this state park on our way back to town. The small pool, inland of the lake, made for some nice reflections.

At long last, I've post-processed the first of many Tahoe photos from my trip in mid-June. If you haven't ever been to Emerald Bay (depicted below) you're missing out.

For almost 2 weeks now, Davis has been roasting me at around 107 degrees, and I've taken to searching for solace in the soothing waters of the apartment swimming pool. Of course, these waters would be far more soothing if they were cleaned on a more regular basis. But regardless, hiding from the heat, even for just a few seconds, in cool submerged isolation, lying on the bottom of the pool looking up at the light, gives me a wonderful sense of peace. It makes me feel like I'm on vacation, if only just for a moment.
